Air Pollution Monitoring Using Swarm Robotics

Abstract: Thispaperdescribesamodelprojectfordeterminingtheenvironmentalconditionsthatexistinanareausinganarmyora swarmofrobots.Theserobotsrelocatethemselvesindependentlyofeachother,intheirownprescribedpath.Thisprojectisinspire dbytheextentoftaskthatarecollectivelyaccomplishedbyaswarmofantsorbees,theswarmofrobotsfindtheirutilityinareaswher eenvironmentalconditionsaretobemonitored.Monitoringofenvironmentalconditionsusingsatellitetechnology,stationaryga ssensorshavetheirowndrawbacks.Satellitetechnologyformonitoringfailswhenanareaistobemonitoredwheresignalsfailtorea ch.Similarly,stationarygassensorscannotbeinstalledateverylocation.
