Analysis of Different Speed Control Techniques Using PMSM

Abstract: This paper present the different speed control techniques using permanent magnet synchronous motor. PMSM is generally used in AC servo drives and industry because application requires good speed controllers with high accuracy, high torque coefficient, and low ripple torque, high power density, high efficiency in the design process and implementation as compare to the other motors used in drives. Many speed control techniques are available and these control techniques differ from the type of controller used for PMSM to the type of software/hardware implementation. The analysis of various control techniques are highlighted in this paper with respect to speed control and implementation.
