Abstract: This paper evaluates the performance of CS-RZ-ASK modulation format in optical communication by presenting the Q-factor, Bit Error Rate and noise margin at different distances. This technique suppress the power of carrier that carries no information in order to increase the efficiency in terms of power saving.

Keywords: Bit Error Rate; Eye Diagram; Mach Zehnder Interferometer Modulator; Quality Factor.
